    My name is Gabor PRIEGL.

I graduated from the Technical University of Budapest, Hungary as an electrical engineer in 1991. Since then science, engineering and technology (SET) have truly supported me through my professional life. Beyond SET I have always felt the urge to explore new territories of our world.

I am interested in economics and management as well. That explains my MBA.

I am interested in determining values. That explains my qualification in the certification of precious stones.

I worked in different director’s positions in a multicultural corporation for 15 years. I experienced all aspects of business, B2C marketing and sales, B2B pre-sales, B2B sales, project management, you name it.
I learnt a lot and got ready for my next challenge, to build something from scratch.

Later, with a couple of talented guys we developed our own company in the energy sector for almost 10 years. It was an extremely interesting and successful enterprise.

Then, I devoted a five and a half year mission to the development of a custom software development company having started with less than 10 people, and reaching the level of 60 employees. Compared to the 430 million HUF revenue in 2020, we achieved 1,600 million HUF revenue in 2024, with an EBITDA significantly exceeding the sector average (public data). All of this was achieved in an ultra-flat organization, building an extremely valuable corporate culture based on trust, empowerment and open communication which produced super velocity in the operation.

I know how to do it.

But life is more than business. I need intellectual challenges beyond work, so I have decided to launch a blog, in which I am trying to illuminate interesting aspects of the world.

This blog presents management, effectiveness and efficiency related issues, exploring the background and formulating the lessons to be learnt.

Come and join me on my journey!
